For far too long, voters have faced discriminatory voter laws and unethical tactics to limit the voice of the American people. From gerrymandering to extreme voting restrictions and qualifications, these undemocratic practices cannot be allowed to continue in the United States. I’m proud to be an original co-sponsor of the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, the Democracy Restoration Act, and the Freedom to Vote Act, which will protect our elections and ensure all Americans have equal access to the ballot, and I will continue the fight to ensure all perspectives, opinions, and voices can be heard in our democratic process.
